Environment Education Cell

The ECC of our college is one of the active cells which makes every attempt to impart the importance of environmental protection to our students.The cell of the college aims to sensitize, create awareness and educate students about the preservation and conservation of the environment. The faculty, staff and students contribute collectively to develop an eco-friendly sustainable campus and disseminate the concept of eco-friendly culture to the nearby community and wherever possible. The college is striving to develop its institution on a self-sustainable basis in the areas of power, water and cleanliness. Organic Farming in the college premises is one of the Best practices adopted by this cell. Every year ECC takes great efforts to cultivate vegetables, thereby imparting insights into traditional organic farming methods among students. The cell motivates students, to keep their surroundings clean and green and to maintain natural resources. The plantation of herbal plants like Tulsi, Lemon grass, Guava, Elaichi, Ajwain, Bail patr, Kaddiptta, Har Shingaris done in the Campus.

The cell creates awareness about environmental issues by organizing events, rallies, awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, seminars, workshops, presentations, tree plantation drives, rangoli competitions, essay competitions, bird watching programs, excursions, study tours, guest lectures, talks, etc.The college has a clear waste management policy for disposing off-dry, wet, e-waste, and wastewater management. There are separate coloured bins for dry (blue) and wet (green) waste. All efforts are being made to make the campus Plastic free.
